Adobe Illustrator Level 1: Adobe Illustrator is a sophisticated vector graphics program capable of creating complex and attractive illustrations and type effects. You can create logos, business cards, advertisements and illustrations in Illustrator. If you have little or no experience with Illustrator, it can be overwhelming to start creating complex illustrations. In this course, you'll start by drawing and manipulating simple shapes to create logos. You'll also combine text and graphics to create advertisements.

• Basic shapes and colors
• Complex blends for shadowing and highlighting
• Making blends for use as animations

• Using the Scissors and Knife tools
• Using the Eyedropper and Bucket tools
• Using the Pencil and Smooth tools
• Using the Simplify command

Lesson 3

• Using the Line, Arc, Flare, and Grid Tools

Lesson 4

• Applying Effects to editable type
• General Type effects

Lesson 4

• Adding strokes and fills

Lesson 6

• Applying nondestructive visual effects to objects, images, and type
• Creating editable shapes
• Adding Drop Shadows and Glows
• Using, and creating new styles
• Saving and editing styles

Lesson 7

• Using the pathfinder filters and palette to
  combine objects and paths

Lesson 8

• Single and multiple masking objects
• Using Clipping Masks and Opacity Masks
• Importing Layer Masks from Photoshop
• Using masks with the Layers Palette

Lesson 9

• Using the gradient tool
• Creating and saving gradients

Lesson 10

• Adding transparency to objects
• Using Blending Modes
